Steelers running back James Conner has tested positive for COVID-19, per a report from Aditi Kinkhabwala of the NFL Network:

Conner, a survivor of Hodgkin’s lymphoma, could be considered higher risk should he contract the coronavirus. Per Cancer.gov:

“People who were treated for cancer in the past may have weakened immune systems but, at this time, it is not known whether having a history of cancer increases their risk for severe illness from COVID-19. Cancer survivors may want to discuss their concerns about COVID-19 with their doctors.”

Conner was diagnosed with the former disease in 2015 — while still playing at Pitt — after doctors discovered it while treating him for a torn MCL. He very well could have died shortly thereafter had it not been discovered.

Conner has made the most of his opportunity as his cancer went into remission, running for 2,221 yards and 21 touchdowns in three-plus seasons in Pittsburgh. He also added 114 receptions for 893 yards and four touchdowns.

The Steelers’ Thanksgiving night game against the Ravens was postponed after several Baltimore players and coaches tested positive for the virus, prompting the NFL to move the game Tuesday.

It appears that game could be moved back even further:
